Loan check
An information-only calculation with your own numbers, with no banks and no quoted rates: it compares at the same remaining term, after all fees.
Early repayment fee, valuation, notary and the new loan's fees.
At the same remaining term: you pay €110,159 in total now · €110,159 after refinancing · a net difference of €0 after all fees.
On these numbers, refinancing is not worth it.
If you extend the term, the payment falls, but you pay €11,310 more in total.
For information only, not an offer. The sum assumes the fees are paid separately, not added to the loan.
Illustrative values; results are indicative and do not constitute an offer.
How compound interest works
With compound interest, returns accrue not only on the money you put in but also on the returns already earned. That is why the accumulation curve is not a straight line — the gain accelerates with every year that passes.
Time is the strongest factor in the equation. A small but regular contribution started early outpaces larger sums paid in later — even when the total capital contributed is several times smaller.
Key takeaway
Whoever starts saving earlier, more often and in smaller amounts receives far more at the same interest rate and the same saving period. Anyone who starts later needs more money or higher contributions.
